Our new year's eve was very low key, lots of snuggling up on the sofa and keeping the puppy entertained plus the bunny came in for the midnight celebration.
We didn't have a tree this year as protecting it from the animals would have been too difficult, so we went to town with fairylights and paperchains made from magazine adverts. They have been quite popular and the lounge is going to feel quite dull once they all come down.
We baked a few batches of yummy orangey mince pies (via Mary Berry) for Christmas presents and also the Cheats's Christmas Cake featured on Kirstie and Phil's Perfect Christmas.

We also had a quiet night at home! Sometimes it's better that way! I made a blueberry pie, but those orange mince pies look really good!
